The family decide to adopt him and Thursday's anxiety to help everyone leads him to attempt the rescue of a cuckoo from a cuckoo clock and reform his host's grocery business by turning it into a supermarket. delightfully illustrated by Daphne Rowles. Problem is that Thursday hasn't the faintest idea how to sail the SS Whatsit and he is relieved when the mysterious Captain Bucket offers to help out, but is Bucket a friend or foe? C3E.
